Wednesday Pub Night #189 (3/15/00) - 8:00 pm at Bull's Head Tavern
Back to the Pub Night home page
Good Evening,
This week, PubNight is going to a bar we've never been to before, with
many occasions to celebrate:
- Dan Piltch turns 30 this Wednesday.
You can drop Dan a birthday message at dpiltch@marinecomputer.com. As many
of you know, Dan began the NY migration to Portland, ME, which leads us
the second occasion to celebrate...
- Another of our NY pubnighters is
defecting to Portland ME. Melissa B, who first showed at 7/16/97
PubNight #64 at C3, according to the records, begins the northward migration this weekend.
- Lastly (but not least) we're beating the crowds to the bar for Saint
Patricks Day - to celebrate all things Irish - specifically Guinness
(I've yet to see a bar dare to turn a pint of it green).
Some interesting facts about Guinness. Guinness is no more fattening or colorific than any other beer of
similar alcoholic strength. Per pint, Guinness Draught has 210 calories,
as a reference, one pint of semi-skimmed milk has 260 calories.
There are over 20 variants of Guinness around the world.

reviewer)
