Greetings, y'all -
Gerard is the center of attention at this week's PubNight. How is that
different from the average PubNight? This week, it's because we are celebrating
his 30th Birthday (Dec. 12, 1970)!
Gerard offers this call to help him celebrate:
On December 12th 1970 in a small Texas town an hour outside of Dallas called Ennis, my father was interrupted from the start of a Muhammad Ali fight by my mother's labor pains. Disgruntled, he rushed her to the hospital where at 8:24pm Thomas Gerard Young graced the face of the Earth for the first time. Now, 30 years later in the city where my parents first met, we will celebrate the completion of my first full day as an "adult". As I sit here listening to Tube Snake Boogie and LaGrange reminiscing over 10 hr 105 degree roadtrips in the back of pickup trucks, I'm proud to say we will be visiting Doc Hollidays for this week's pubnight. Join me in tequila shots, Lone Star beer, pool games and pokin' fun at the suits. I encourage people to play as much Southern rock as they can stand and cause all the raucous mayhem that you imagine goes with it. I will be a willing pool partner for anyone who needs one. And at 9:24 (8:24 central) I'd like everyone to join me in a toast to the completion of my first full day at age 30. 'Cause God knows I didn't think I'd make it! ;o)G shares his Birthday (12/12) with:
