Happy New Year PubNight Veterans, Newcomers, and Future Attendees,The year ended (let's not discuss the math-geek end-of-the millenium debate) and it snowed. That sums up the past week.
Several of us went to Maine, built snowmen and snowwomen (and served them New Years champagne), and did our good deed for the year by pushing free a snowbound car. Others enjoyed the warmth and charm of our 12th Street friends. Hopefully, the rest were similarly surrounded by friends, family, or other fun and interesting people.
Has everyone made their New Year's resolutions? Have we all broken them yet? If not, your friends at PubNight would like to help you get started! Since it is cold outside, we can begin shattering well-intended resolutions over a bit of whiskey to warm ourselves up. Let's make that Nancy Whiskey, the location for this week's PubNight, chosen by Birthday celebrant Don Kaufmann. Don shares his birthday (12/30) with the Tokyo subway (1927), weatherman Willard Scott (1934), former Monkees Mike Nesmith (1942) and Davy Jones (1945), morning TV guy Matt Lauer (1957), and golfer Tiger Woods (1975), as well as John Woodham, Harold Clark, and Shannon Glenn of Andalusia, Alabama (randomly picked off the web).
See you at Nancy Whiskey. And Happy 30th Birthday, Don!

we sat for an hour-and-a-half after a 5 hour wait in the Portland, ME airport.
