Good Morning,This week our self proclaimed "youngest pubnighter" Jen Na, turns a year older. (For age specifics, you'll have to ask her). Her first choice this week was Meow Mix, the now infamous lesbian bar (thanks to the movie "Chasing Amy"). While the triumvirate had no issue with going to a lesbian bar, those of us who have been there pointed out, it is unfortunately not a good Pubnight bar, due to the fact that 1. there's not alot of seating and 2. the bouncers tend not to be all that "male friendly" - and if you've seen the stats lately... even if the goods ARE odd there's no entrance guarantee.
So, where are we going this week? Jen's second choice is a bar that has been around for a few years, but Pubnight has yet to go to. Citysearch calls it "small bar with its sleek interior is furnished with cozy booths and almond-shaped tables in the front, and black leather sofas in the dark and intimate backroom". However, I was there with 50 people at a company party, and we didn't fill the place, so, unless they're measuring it against Giants Stadium, it's not that small.
There's not food at tonight's venue, but it is near Little Italy so the choices for dinner eats are good.
