Good Afternoon, PNNY is trying out a new venue this week. Some of you may have been here during your college days for cheap pitchers of beer. Recently the owners of the place have renovated it in trying to make it a not so college-centric bar. The triumvirate thought it was worth a try.
Since NYU is out for the semester, there should be ample space to shoot pool, put dollars in the juke box and sample the extended beer selection.
Reasons to drink this week, or interesting moments in history to discuss:
1431 - Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in Rouen, France, at the age of 19.
1848 - W.G. Young patented the ice cream freezer.
1889 - The brassiere was invented.
1896 - The first automobile accident occurred in New York City.
1967 - Daredevil Evel Knievel jumped 16 automobiles in a row in a motorcycle stunt at Ascot Speedway in Gardena, CA.
So, where are we going this week? The debate is over whether we'll be in Noho or the East Village tomorrow (anyone?):
Also, belated happy birthday member of the triumvirate Jay this week. Jay is off floating around the Mediterranean this week. We'll be celebrating/drinking to his return and getting a year older with him next week.
See you there!
