Back to the Pub Night home page
Greetings -Got a hankerin' for some chicken wings? That's what this week's PubNight is about. The precursor of PubNight was a weekly gathering for a stretch of the early/mid-90s at Down the Hatch, generally referred to as "Wednesday Night Wings." We chose Wednesdays because few people had plans and we chose Down the Hatch because they had great chicken wings and free margaritas for women on Wednesdays. They've long since dropped the free Margaritas, but they still have the tasty fried poultry.
We can only go to Down the Hatch during the summer when NYU is out, so we're taking advantage of the slightly quieter summer Village. We tried to go there on May 26, 1999 (PubNight #149) but it was too crowded with NYU students, and the last PubNight there was October 2, 1996 (Pub Night #25) when we were a much smaller group.
Happy Birthday (7/24) to PubNighters Jen F (Jen from Hoboken) and Gerald (Jen's friend Gerald, if that helps)!!!
Come hungry this week.
