PubNight #263 (08/29/01) - 7:30 at Motor City

Back to the Pub Night home page

Pubnighters young- and old-school,

This week we are heading back to Motor City, which we first/last visited on a cold night in February. Why? Because Beth wants to. And here is her explanation.

Come help Beth rock her birthday, along with her right to vote (19th Amendment ratified August 26, 1920), the Marquis of Queensberry Rules (first used on August 29, 1885 in Cincinnati, OH), and Chop Suey (invented at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on August 29, 1896). See you at Motor City (the bar on the Lower East Side, not actually in Detroit.)
