Back to the Pub Night home page
Good Afternoon -
After nearly completing the updated statistics for the site (Petro swears they'll be up by this weekend!) Petro pointed out that last week was my 200th Pubnight! This of course meaning that I should take advantage of the fast and loose rule of picking where I want my 200th Pubnight to be. The idea behind this being, that it's a place I've been to in the early days of Pubnight. Since I've been drinking for 200 Wednesdays since PNNY #19 (http://www.pubnight.com/nyc/pn20jpg/), the choice was no easy feat (even remembering where we've been has been tough - it's good we keep track!).
This week, we're going back to a place PNNY has not been since my 40th Pubnight (9/24/97). I've been wanting to go back here because I remember it being a cool, dark brick place with lots of candles and they make good drinks. Altho, unlike the last time we were here for PNNY, I'm not expecting a cake with my likeness on it to arrive, nor to be "innocently" pawed by someone's visiting father. But, as we know, anything's possible at Pubnight.
So where are we going this week? Citysearch says: "comfy couches, dry martinis, tables to accommodate large parties, airy space, and pretty bathrooms. It's a perfect place for an after-work drink, or to dump a misguided lover". Look for us either on the big bench or in the back.
