Back to the Pub Night home page
Since I'll be on the road on Tuesday, I am sending a somewhat early PubNight announcement. I don't know if we've ever sent the email as early as Monday, but don't get used to it.
Having just passed my birthday this past Saturday, it falls on me to choose this week's location. In a tradition going back to the very opening of this pub -- ok, it was only 5 years ago -- I've been spending my birthday, or at least the celebration of said event, at this fine Irish pub in the Village. It may sound familiar to some of you, having been the backup for last week's PubNight. Yes, it's back to Fiddlesticks, probably the back room behind the bar (but not definitely.)
The furniture is straight off the boat from Ireland (along with the waitstaff), the beer selection is more than passable, and the food is filling and tasty. So, come out for a pint and some bangers & mash.
Come drink to celebrate my birth (1967), the birth of Sporty Spice Mel C (1974), or John Hancock (1737-1793). Nothing interesting happened the day I was born, but on the day I turned 18 (1/12/85), Prince's "Purple Rain" album was knocked off the top of the Billboard charts after 24 weeks on top. That's how old I am.
See you at Fiddlesticks!
