Good Afternoon -

This week PNNY is continuing in its tradition of trying new bars. Since we've suddenly skipped from winter straight into summer the triumvirate figured it was time to try out one of the beer gardens we have on our list. Since one Citysearch user rated this place as "das ist friggin' excellent" this seemed to be the one to try.

Citysearch also mentions this as a place to: "Gather those who remember when Niagara was King Tut's Wah-Wah Hut and congregate for a tasting of hard-to-find German brews that will have you banging with the decadence of a Berlin cabaret."
(They also serve other alcohol besides beer).

Here are some historical facts for the week to keep your neighbors and co-workers entertained:
1524 - New York Harbor was discovered by Giovanni Verrazano.
1895 - New York State passed an act that established free public baths.
1923 - Yankee Stadium opened in the Bronx, New York.
1934 - The first Laundromat opened. It was in Fort Worth, TX.
1964 - The FBI lab reported that it could not determine the lyrics to "Louie Louie."

So where are we going this week? Grab your compass and join us in the eastern most part of the East Village.

See you there!
