Good Afternoon,
This week PNNY is continuing in it’s tradition of trying new bars, or as in the case of this week, the secondary location of this bar (we’ve only been to the one down-town). Also, now that it’s warmer and sunnier out longer these days, it’s time to crawl out of our East Village routine and venture to another neighborhood.

Shecky’s has this to say about the place: "Let the beer guzzling hardcore Harley riders who keep the beer soaked bar from floating away lead you down a road more traveled by freight train vagrants than stockbrokers - it’ll do you good."

What happened this week in history, some of PNNY will appreciate these (atleast the first 2):

• 1886 - Coca-Cola was first sold in Atlanta, GA.
• 1985 - The first cans of New Coke rolled out of bottling and canning plants on this, the 99th anniversary of Coca-Cola. The 7.4 billion dollar company realized it had made an incredible goof when it discovered that Coke drinkers preferred ‘The Real Thing’.
• 1626 - Manhattan purchased by Dutch governor Peter Minuet for the equivalent of $24 in goods, which compounded at 6% annually is approximately $78 billion
• 1945 V-E Day; Germany signs unconditional surrender, WWII ends in Europe
