Although I haven't been to a whole lotta PubNights lately (every 3rd or 4th) due to plays and work, my 250+ PubNights apparently grandfathered me as a regular. Consequently, I get to choose the location this week, the week in which I enter the latter half of my 30's (which may explain why I was inclined to use "grandfather" in the previous sentence.)
Because I like chicken wings and have a volleyball game on the Upper West Side, we are going to Blondies, purveyors of tasty wings and cheese fries. Murph's Guide says, "Bartenders are friendly and attractive, but not too bright" and "The prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are adequate." Why do those descriptions sound like a personal ad to me?
