PubNight #337 (2/19/03) - 7:00pm at Fiddlesticks

Good Evening -
Hopefully everyone got a chance to go out and play in the snow
yesterday before it turned into that ever-so-infamous grey snow/slush
that seems to appear within minutes. I decided that this was the one
time I could walk down the middle lane of the West Side highway and not
get hit by a car, a bike tour or tourists. This was fine until I went to
climb a high snow embankment to return to the regular streets and ended
up sunk to my chest in it. Climbing out and shaking snow out of more
places than I care to admit concluded my fascination with the frozen
water for the day.
On to the drinking...
The triumvirate decided this week that since traversing the city is
still a little treacherous, and hailing cabs to further reaches of the
boroughs may be tough, that PNNY would retreat to an old favorite near
many subway lines and the path. Also notice that PN is a bit earlier this
week for people who don't want to be stuck at work *that* long with no
place to wander because of the snow. (I include myself in this one).
Where are we going this week? In the past we've gotten to take over the
back room, photograph ourselves restrained in bridle gear as well as
celebrate many birthdays. So bring your snow stories, snow shoes and the
need for a beer.
