PubNight #343 (4/2/03) - 7:30pm at Panchitos

Back to the Pub Night home page

I can't believe that we haven't been to Panchitos since PN #60. This is a great place. Lots of space, lots of margaritas, and good Mexican food in a great neighborhood. This is where the Eastchester boys (Petro and our founder, Stuart) used to come when they were in high school. As Stuart said when were last there:

"Yes, I know we weren't quite legal drinking age, but we just had the chips and salsa. We certainly didn't have any frozen mud slides or 151-proof daquiris. Assuming they still don't ask for ID, we could probably all get in tonight."

Going back to another tradition of Stuart's, here are some reasons to celebrate this week:

Monday was Kevin Feeley's birthday. If some of you don't know who Kevin Feeley is, that just proves that he needs to come to Pubnight more often. We miss you, Kevin!

Today, Tuesday, is April Fool's Day. Have you played a prank on someone yet?

This upcoming Sunday we lose an hour as we "spring" forward.

As of this week's Pubnight, there will be no more smoking at Pubnight since smoking has been banned in bars in New York. This is a reason for some to celebrate, and some to lament. Either way, drinks are in order.

Corey Clarke has been kicked off American Idol by the producers because he failed to tell them that he was arrested last year for assaulting his own sister. I never liked him anyway.... (Think we can do a crossover on FOX between American Idol and America's Most Wanted?)

Letterman is back on the air after recovering from shingles. Other people are recovering well from shingles too. :)

See you there!
