Good Afternoon PNNY -

Winter just seems to not want to go away. Just when I thought it was safe to leave a window open and enjoy some fresh air it snows into my apt creating cold puddles which of course I stepped in while closing the window. Ah New York in the spring!

This week we're checking out a dark brick bar with excellent sake drinks, cocktails and yummy asian-themed snacks.

Shecky's writes: "As you enter through the unmarked door, you'll see an impressively-large oval bar festooned with puppets and a Buddha statue framed in an alcove. Groups of merry multi-ethnic youth brandish chopsticks at the large wooden tables while the jukebox drops MC Solaar to create a totally international scene. Lit by candles, this cavernous space is friendly and inviting. The menu is in the five to ten dollar range featuring Japanese dishes. Exotic but friendly, this Forbidden City generously opens its doors to the enlightened."

So where are we going this week? Come join us for true enlightenment (and hope for warm sunlight soon) over cocktails in this hip lounge. Look for us up-front.

See you there!
