it's always nice when the nyu students leave town - the streets are quieter... the bars are cleaner (yeah, those nyu stern students are sloppy) - it's like the city gets all happy and tingly - but it's only for a short while before the unwashed and uneducated return to their dorm to plague us again... oh well
come celebrate the absence of nyu with us at The Stoned Crow this evening where there is always good food and drink - and if you haven't quaffed the non-smoking atmosphere at The Crow yet, you really should - it's so weird... not bad, just not what you'd expect from a village smoking bar
ps: I often hear a murmur of discontent from pubnight members when this email is sent, as some may consider, late... ah, but I remember the days when Our Founder would deliver unto us a pubnight email with only a scant hour or two before we were scheduled to begin drinking... so, with this email, I tip my hat (if I had one) to the salad days of pubnight, when pubnight scheduling was a little more relaxed... when you already knew you were going out Wednesday and all you needed was a bar name and an atm card... and when these emails were a lot shorter...
