Good Afternoon,
When TK and I asked Ricky if he wanted to chose PNNY this week to celebrate his birthday, he responded thusly:
"Sure! May I suggest Karma? And in order to welcome the Buddha nature of the New York summer, how about a koan?
A master was walking through a garden one day when an anxious student startled him, causing the master to drop a scroll. The student, very upset about startling the master, quickly picked up the scroll as it unrolled on the ground. The young student began to blush as he saw the contents of the scroll; a story of Joshu and many young ladies in various states of undress. As the master took the scroll, he said to the embarrassed student 'There is no need to worry. It was merely an obscene koan fall.'"
Not sure what a koan is? Check this out:

Also, some of you may remember that last fall TK was working on NY neighborhood guide books called The Short List. The Short List is ramping up production on lower Manhattan, and is looking for help with bar reviews. Anyone who wants to donate some bar reviews to The Short List can not only make sure that their favorite bars are favorably reviewed, but can also get themselves a free copy of the book once it comes out. Talk to TK for more details.
So where are we going this week? Come celebrate the return of summer with some positive energy and cold cocktails to support everyone's Koan.
