Good Morning -
This week PNNY is celebrating Joel's b-day. When we asked Joel where he might want to go this week he replied:
"All the bars on I used to go to on the Lower East Side are too damn crowded, esp. for Pub Night! I'm getting a little sick of being sweated on by strangers this week, or maybe I'm getting old...Can y'all think of any place that isn't too loud and crowded that has a good selection of tequila and/or real margaritas (ie not slurpies mixed with rum)? (Also) the weather on Weds. is supposedly going to suck, although thunderstorm watching from a covered outdoor area might be cool."
We immediately lamented the burning down of La Margarita in the Village a few weeks ago, which was on our list to go to. Instead, we're going back to a place that even in the past year since we've been there, Citysearch or Shecky's has yet to list. From our hazy recollection we had a good mix of mojitos, caprinas and margaritas to go with our mexican style tapas. They also have a backyard space to enjoy if the weather is good.
So what was Joel's reaction to our suggestion for his b-day Pubnight? "OK I think I'm sold on Galapagos!"
