Good Afternoon
This week PN is checking out a new bar we've been meaning to check out
for a while. Since it rocked onto the scene, there's been a line out
the door to get in on the weekends. Recently, when I walked by on a
week-night, it looked a bit more welcoming. No door dude, no line.
The Shecky's review says "In tune with the cool Lower East Side bars, Pianos is named after the old piano store that used to inhabit this 3 floor space. With a recording studio downstairs, bar in the front room, bands in the back and a lounge upstairs, Pianos is your one stop drinking, rock shop... The spacious bar in the front room is ensconced with attractive 30 somethings gulping concoctions and comparing Oliver Peoples glasses while others are on the prowl upstairs in the intimate 'jungle decor' lounge... perfect for closing the deal with that publishing assistant you just picked up."
Also, TK is looking for suggestions for a place for her birthday PN next week, so let her know if you've been somewhere we should check out.
There might be a band in the back-room tomorrow night, but we'll be upstairs in the lounge out of earshot (according to whomever answered the phone when I called).
So where are we going this week? Bring your rock and roll selves down to the lower east side...
