PubNight #370 (10/8/03) - 7:30pm at Rivertown Lounge

Back to the Pub Night home page

Good Afternoon

With the chill of fall in the air, this week we're going back to a bar that is fuzzily remembered for it's excellent scotch choices. While not as lengthy a selection as DBA's (really, can any place compete with that?), we imbibed in-style amongst the brick-exposed walls adorned with local art.

Shecky's cites this venue as "Instead of falling victim to the ebb and flow of nightlife in this part of town, Riverton's dark, red-brick laden, weird nipple-art-decorated Irish pub feel stands firm. The bartenders are friendly and about as laid back as a house cat on 'ludes, as is the hipster-in-disguise crowd. During the week there is a great happy hour..."

So where are we going this week? South of Houston and North of Delancey.

**For those of you looking for a quick/cheap dinner before PN, check out the newly opened La Creperie on Ludlow (btwn Stanton and Rivington ). Excellent crepes – and open late!

See you there!
