PubNight #376 (11/19/03) - 8:30pm at Central
Bar
Back to the Pub Night home page
I'm running the show this week. Hold your applause for the end.
Now that everybody who's anybody is attending the social event of the season, those of us who are nobody might like to drown our sorrows over
a pint at Central Bar (last visited in January as PN334). By popular
demand (that is, because I couldn't find anyone planning to go earlier to help
me take attendance), we'll be officially getting to business an hour later
than usual. I, for one, am prepared to make up for the lost time.
- Where: Central
Bar
- Address: 109 E. 9th Street at 3rd Ave
- Time: 8:30pm
- Food: Good
eats
- Phone: 212.529.5333
- Backup: St. Mark's Ale House, 2 St. Mark's Place at 3rd Avenue
Sheckys.com says: "This place may lack the charm of those nicked-up ash
and whiskey stained bars that won't come clean despite the best efforts of
the chummy olı Irish bartender, but at least you know the bathrooms are
safe. Whether they do it with Celtic spells, 4-leaf clovers, or scary
bedtime stories we donıt know, but The Central Bar manages to keep the kiddies
and the filth at bay (coincidence?). If the main bar's flat screen TVs
aren't your thing, step into the backroom, order some Irish sausages, and chew
in time to the live guitarist. "
See you there!
