PubNight #416 (9/8/04) - 7:30pm at White Rabbit

Previous PubNights PubNight Home

Well, summer's over, and good riddance. There seems to be little point to summer now that most of us aren't governed by the academic calendar anymore -- we get mojitos, yes, but at what price? Three months of worrying whether the power is going to go out and leave us climbing the stairs and broiling without A/C, that's what. Plus I look really silly in shorts, and I have a lot of cute sweaters this year. Feh on summer.

A quick visit to the Previous PubNights page tells us that we've never visited this week's bar, which is funny, because I could have sworn that this was the place at which Deb Etsten leapt atop the table to regale us with her solo rendition of "The Forbidden Dance." Or maybe that wasn't a memory, but merely a tantalizing glimpse of the future. I have those occasionally -- funny that they always involve Deb.

I digress. The bar in question is White Rabbit, an E.Ho. hangout with a tasty white decor, scrumptious specialty cocktails, and...tapas that you probably won't mind ordering after a few rounds of those cocktails. Whether your preference be Lewis Carroll or Grace Slick, I think you'll want to explore this particular drinking hole.

This PubNight email is dedicated to the preservation of the rainforest.
