PubNight #441 (3/2/05) - 7:30pm at Black Bear Lodge

Good Afternoon -

This week, our only criteria for PN is the place have heat, heat which works, that is.

For those of you who braved last week and ate your nachos before they became icy blocks of food product, we salute you! Luckily, the back up for the back-up worked out well, and everyone was well inebriated on alcoholic pineapples, as well as practicing bad martial arts by the end of the night.

But on to this week!

We're checking out a new bar this week - one that fits well with the cold and snow which has most of us wishing for PN Miami. I'm still blaming the Ground Hog. The same owners also own the Bulls Head and Kings Head Tavern's which we've visited (and liked) in the past.

Citysearch says this about the place: "Don't ask why a ski-motif lodge should plunk down in Gramercy. Just give thanks for the general campiness of it all... Nothing much is authentic--the antler chandeliers look mass-produced---but drinks are cheap, TVs abound and at least it's something different. Ten beers served in chilled mugs range from PBR to Black Bear Stout and, when the mood strikes, a Jager shot-machine is willing."

So grab your skis, dog sled and anyone or anything that keeps you warm at this point and join us for some frosty adult beverages!

See you there!
