We're coming into the home stretch of PubNight: Year 9. The DVD, now available for pre-order through Amazon.com, will include special Triumvirate commentary on the surprising cast changes (opinion remains divided on whether the midseason departure of Greg Smith was for the best), a featurette on the year's sometimes contrived plot twists (had it ever been mentioned before that Greg is a lesbian?), and, of course, lots of gratuitous uncensored footage of body piercings.
I'm sure you'll want a hanky handy when you replay the touching, surprising anniversary finale. And a bucket, and a big ol' bottle of Advil. (Word to the wise: ask to take off the day of Thursday the 31st NOW.)
This week we return to Bar Nocetti, one of the first places I chose last year. Excellent pizza and other food, very nice atmosphere, strong drinks, friendly staff, near the subway and PATH, and (ominously) seldom crowded. It's like the bar at my own personal vision of Valhalla, the land where it's always 72 degrees, the internet connection never goes down, and all the men are circumsized.
