PubNight #446 (4/6/05) - 7:30pm at Mike and Dan's House and then 9:30pm at Xth Avenue Lounge

Previous PubNights PubNight Home

First there was one.

Then there were three.

Then there were four, kind of.

Then there were really just two.

Then there were three again, but a different three, and four or five if you counted generously.

And now that there are--three? six? seven? one of those--I think it's safe to say that PubNight has entered a new era. Sad as we are to see Kris join Stuart in exile in Portland (I'm convinced it's really the same city; at best there's a tesseract connecting the two), and...um...yeah, sad as we are to see Petro join Jay as Triumvir Emeritus, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that I'm convinced that Cindy and Rebecca will soon teach us exciting new rationalizations for alcoholism.

As for why I'm speaking for everyone in this historic e-mail: well, we couldn't decide which of the new ladies should be first out of the gate, and the dearly/nearly departed are too busy sighing with relief to write anything, and I think TK has been sitting up nights sobbing over the fate of Ulong at the hands of Koror, so it falls to me. The senior member and elder statesman of the Triumvirate.

I know what you're thinking. It does take a great man to hold such great responsibility. And thank you.

The other reason I'm writing this dealie is that we're starting this week's PN in a slightly offbeat way, with a cocktail reception at our house (which is yet lacking a catchy name a la "Chez Konomore," but stand by) -- a mixed-purpose farewell, welcome and housewarming shindig. We'll have snacks and some drinks; feel free to bring anything you feel would be sorely missed. (Like furniture.)

At 9:30 (or whenever we get bored) we will be relocating to Xth Avenue Lounge, conveniently across the street. Join us for either or both, and help usher in the new age.

See you there!
