PubNight #459 (7/6/05) - 7:30pm at The Stoned Crow

What better pre-birthday present could I get than a glowing job evaluation?

Sadly, I *could* get a better present than a pleasantly positive evaluation with no guarantee of a salary increase, which is what I now have on my desk. But since it makes no mention of my chronic alcohol-related tardiness, I think it's safe on balance to call this a pro-Mike document. Boo-frickin'-yah.

My birthday plans are not quite so Teutonic as Dan's were last week. They're not even all that extraordinary; we will be spending this Wednesday at the Stoned Crow, as we have spent so many other Wednesdays (and Fridays, and Saturdays, and Gatilsdays). Familiar, yes. But how many other places do you know where you are so completely guaranteed to have a good time?

The side benefit of going to the Crow this week is that it will be my little sister Katy's last week waitressing there for the indefinite future, since next week she's going to Barcelona for six months. Come, laugh with her. Cry with her. Give her huge tips so she doesn't have to lead an immoral life to pay the rent. (She's also having a farewell party next Wednesday at the Crow and hopes that many PubNighters will attend. But since that's going to be in competition with that week's PN, I will not mention it here.)

See you there!
