Hello Pubnighters!
School's out and it isn't just the kids who are enjoying staying out late and sleeping in. If anyone deserves a drink, it's our tireless NYC public school teachers. So we let Pubnight's very own headmistress Madrid pick the bar this week to celebrate (slightly belatedly) the end of the school year.
Her choice is Phebe's in the East Village. They've recently renovated the place, so it probably looks completely different than it did last time we were there for Pubnight #296 in April 2002. Although smack dab in the middle of NYU-ville, it should not be overrun with students this time of year. Yet another reason to raise a glass to summer break.
