Hello Pubnighters,
This week we are hitting Dusk Lounge, a spot that's been at the top of the triumverate's list of places to return to for a while, but something -- mainly birthdays, and the summertime bias towards establishments with outdoor space-- always seemed to come up every week instead, until now. Dusk bills itself as "your neighborhood bar-- even if you don't live in the neighborhood." As some may remember from our last visit back in May 2001, Dusk's most distinctive feature is the two-way mirror in the bathroom, allowing you to check out the scene out in the bar while checking your makeup in the mirror (don't worry, the people out there can't see in). A less gimmicky draw is the happy hour from 6-9, with $5 Cosmos, $4 well drinks, and $4 bottles of Dos Equis. And for you sharks out there, there's also a pool table.
