Heya,

When was the last time you took an informative and thought provoking course/seminar? You all deserve a good sociology class, which includes a human experiment led by Professor C. Bacon, Miskatonic University, et al. To follow is a brief class description:

SOC 109 The Science of Sociology: The True Measure of the Imperial Pint
Bacon, C.
Hard science enables us to make observations and offer insights about the social world. In this course, we will become familiar with the Imperial Pint, a standard of measurement used in public houses in the UK for beer (20 oz. versus 16 oz. in the US). We will analyze a variety of sociological themes as they emerge in some of the most exciting contemporary research focusing especially on the study of a person and/or persons who imbibe mass quantities of Imperial Pints of beer continuously over a four hour period. Measurement of speech patterns, equilibrium and cognition will help determine a standard human threshold.
Prerequisite: Mastery of Swallowing
Distribution: Social and Behavioral Analysis
Semester: Fall- 1.0 credit

As most of you know, in order to come up with an accurate analysis, a sampling of test subjects needs to be sizable. We have found the perfect laboratory for this sociologically imperative study, a new East Village public house that serves the Imperial pint, called Drop Off Service. The seminar and experiment promise to be enlightening and most inebriating.

More on what to expect from this new lab (and former laundromat): "Candles and hanging lanterns shed light on this brick-walled bierhaus gathering local guests in their late 20s and early 30s. The 20-ounce imperial pint glasses, brimming with one of the many Brit and German brews, fill stomachs fast."

Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles.
