PubNight #484 (12/28/05) - 7:30pm at Bar on A

PubNight's resolutions for 2006:

1. We will go to more beer gardens. Specifically when it's actually warm.
2. We will friggin' finally do Bronx and Jersey City nights.
3. The bars choose for those nights will be so unmissable that all of you Manhattan nancy-boys will force yourselves to get on one of those other trains.
4. We will not get taken in by the mystique of a Flash website for a bar with twelve-dollar cocktails.
5. No pooftahs.
6. We will track down bars with good happy hours and suck the life out of them.
7. We will occasionally visit a bar that isn't on the Lower East Side.
8. The Triumvirate will spend more time on choosing the bar than on writing the e-mail.
9. We will drink less and take better care of ourselves.
10. We will break no more than three of these resolutions.

In keeping with #8, I'll get to Cindy's choice of Bar on A, which I think we must have walked past a thousand times without going in. In the spirit of holiday harmony, this place has a little something for everyone--it's cheap, it has a decent choice of beer, wine and spirits, and there's food. Actually, that's not something for everyone, it's just something for me. Still, if I'm not happy, the holiday is not going to be very harmonious, so that's something.
