Hi Kids,
This week we are yet again pushing aside our resolutions to be more geographically diverse, and going to the Lower East Side. It just so happens there are alot of intriguing bars down that way, including this week's venue, Lotus Lounge.
Important Note: This is NOT the pretentious and cheesy club on W. 14th called Lotus. Do not go there! Or at least don't call us on your cell telling us you are outside and can't get past the velvet rope. Because then we will pretend that we are in the VIP lounge drinking Courvoisier with Puffy Daddy and Lindsey Lohan, when really we are at the very different Lotus Lounge on the LES.
Lotus Lounge is lowkey bar/cafe with warm friendly vibe, nice big wooden tables and plenty of space to spread out. They have reasonably priced draft beer and a selection of wines, as well as kitchen service (sandwiches, salads and soups) until 8 pm. Their early Happy Hour ends at 8 pm, and then there is a late Happy Hour from midnight til 1 (hmm that could be dangerous...).
