You know something? It *is* hard out there for a pimp. Thank you, Academy, for recognizing that.
This week we continue PubNight's triumphal pre-Anniversary tour of bars we last visited so long ago that we're not sure all of our current regulars had been born. (Stella, I'm looking at you....) Gaf West was last chosen for PN #224--more than half of all PubNights ago, if you can believe that--as a table-hockey-friendly place for birthday boy Greg Smith. I don't know if it's still table-hockey-friendly, but it has one big thing going for it: it's in my neighborhood. And since I'm going to have to get up at a godly hour for once to get to my first day at the new job, I want as few physical barriers as possible between PubNight and my bed. As, I'm sure, do many of you.
My one regret about leaving my current job: I never thought to say "I wish I knew how to quit you" at my exit interview. Comedy *gold*, baby.
