Ah spring.... when a Pubnighter's thoughts turns to fancy... and thirst turns to refreshing cocktails... and yes I know the rest of this week is forecast to be back down to freezing, but what a what a lovely reprise from winter the past few days have been.... a season of new beginnings, new growth, and new bars.
This week we saying farewell-- but also celebrating new beginnings-- for Pubnight regular Joan Matelli. After several years in NYC, and nearly 3 years attending Pubnight, Joan is leaving us for a great new job in her beloved hometown of Boston. Her choice for her farewell PN is the West Village cocktail lounge Little Branch, run by the same folks who own the hidden and exclusive Milk and Honey as well as the East Side Company Bar.
PN's last attempt to go to Little Branch back in August was foiled by a water main break, but this time there will hopefully be no plumbing issues and that the only things flowing will be the liquor and the conversation. So stop by, enjoy a well-mixed classic cocktail, toast Joan farewell, and rejoice that warm weather is just around the corner.
Also-- please remember that Pubnight 10th Anniversary is a mere two
weeks away, Wed March 29th at Swift Hibernian Lounge.
To commemorate the event, Vineel has created an online 10th Anniversary
Yearbook linked from the Pubnight.com NYC home page--
