PubNight #506 (5/31/06) - 7:30pm at Harefield Road

Hi,

I hope you all had a lovely Memorial Day holiday. I had a wonderful time wandering aimlessly around town with my honey, watching New York life move outside as the city became one big street party. Ah, the joys of wearing a sundress (and lots of SPF 45 sunscreen)... a frozen margarita .... another margarita... and then stumbling home in the heat to take refuge in my air-conditioned apartment. Yep, it's summer alright.

In the summertime spirit of getting out of 'The City' (as Manhattan is referred to by Brooklyn natives), this week we'll head to Williamsburg to celebrate Jonathan Breedlove's birthday. His neighborhood bar of choice is Harefield Road, which is run by the same folks who own the legendary Pencil Factory bar up in Greenpoint. Harefield Road sports big chunky butcher's block tables, a spacious back garden, Brooklyn Brewery beers on special for $3 up to 8pm and only $4 after that, as well as a large selection of wines.

Harefield Road is half a block from Graham St, the 3nd Stop on the L in Brooklyn (10-15 minutes from Union Square), and is 4 blocks up Metropolitan Ave from the G/L Metropolitan/Lorimer stop (2nd L stop).

Happy Birthday Jonathan!

(note: after midnight the L train will not go past the 2nd stop --Lorimer-- in Brooklyn due to construction. You can take a shuttle bus from Graham to Lorimer, or walk the 4 blocks downhill yourself)

Cheers,
Rebecca & triummies
