Hi everyone--- I'm here to pass along this week's message from our birthday girl, Stephanie Wolfe. Take it away Stephanie!

The skinny for all you hepcats...

I was having difficulties choosing a place for this, my birthday PN. Locales at which I'd looked were just not right.

So I asked the Triummies for suggestions, and was told to pick a theme of sorts. So I thought to myself, "Self, what do you really want for your birthday? Other than Lena Olin or Mariska Hargitay." And the answer came to me – F. Scott Fitzgerald and sailors. Not necessarily in that order.

So I told the Triummies that I wanted "a speakeasy, or somewhere longshoremen hang out." Which made people nearby shoot beer out their noses. Okay, one person.

Alas, this was not to be. And I had a whole Gatsby homage e-mail planned. With clever lines about how I'd never seen such beautiful shirts, being paralyzed with happiness, and riotous excursions with privileged glimpses into the human heart.

After much semi-frantic e-mailing, I've decided on a place skewing a little farther back historically, but with a good selection and low prices. So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Cheers,

Stephanie (and Rebecca, Mike, & Cindy)
