PubNight #554 (5/2/07) - 7:30pm at Bar 13

It seems ever since our old Pubnight haunt of legend, 61 Cafe, went up in flames I've been subconsciously searching for that place that might just come close to filling its shoes.

Some of the finer points of 61 Cafe were:

1. Cheap strong drinks
2. A space we could take over and make ours
3. A rooftop deck
4. Karaoke, if we got drunk enough
5. A guest bedroom within stumbling distance

Nearly two years later, we have yet to find a suitable replacement. Well, with the help of google, sheckys and citysearch, my MilkyMadame sense tells me a rip-roaring time might just await us at Bar 13.

What heightened my bardar about Bar 13?

1. It has drinks (really cheap depends on the time you get there, it is 2 for 1 before 8 p.m.)
2. Three floors of bar. We can definitely carve out our own niche.
3. It has a ROOFTOP deck. Hello, how rare is that.
4. Karaoke is there if we want. Or if we get drunk enough.
5. The same guest bedroom is within stumbling distance
6. Oh, I have to add a sixth because this is VERY FREAKY, but there is also a numeral in the name of this place!

Every time I have passed Bar 13 on a weekend it is packed. A good thing to know, there is no cover on Wednesday nights. As to where you can find us, no clue, just search the place. You will probably find me smoking on the roof. A final note, remember, it is up to all of us to make future legends!
