Hiya,
Big shout out to regular PubNighters, Vineel and Stephanie, for deciding to take the plunge. And, I'm not talking about going diving, although they're doing that right now on vacation. They are on their way to joining the list of happily married PubNighters.
While on top a high Mayan temple in Belize during hurricane force rain and winds, Vineel got down on one knee and popped the big question. Screaming for her life never entered Stephanie's mind from what I understand.
Vineel's account via email from Belize:
...We were worn out, muddy, soaked to the bone. And up so high that Stephanie was shaking. I took out the ring, got on one knee, and asked her to marry me. She said yes, we hugged and kissed a lot, and it started to rain. Steph thought that we were going to be washed down the pyramid, but we weren't, and now we're going to get married!
I'm sure there will be many toasts when Vineel and Stephanie return, but this week we should toast to their now-waning days of bachelorhood. The days of meeting Vineel's dates at PubNight are over! Hallelujah! He finally found the right girl. And Stephanie probably thought meeting his parents was hard, but the true test was meeting PubNight. And speaking on behalf of PubNight, what a lovely couple you make!
