PubNight #577 (10/10/07) - Ten Degrees

Previous PubNights PubNight Home

Hi kids,

This week we are trying a newish wine bar on St. Mark's, Ten Degrees. Since I had no clue what the bar name referred to I did a search on the phrase '10 Degrees Wine', and learned that 10 degrees Celsius is the proper temperature to serve light-bodied white wines, at least according to the wikipedia article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_serving_temperature. So... now you know.

If you ain't in the mood for the grape stuff, Ten Degrees also has a selection of bottled beers and a full bar. According to online reviewers, the Scottish bartenders do a great job at whipping up delicious cocktails. As for food, you can choose from a menu of cheese plates and fancy snacks and such.

From our research we expect the place to be fine for Pubnight, but if it turns out to be too crowded or expensive or whatnot, the backup spot Hop Devil Grill is just a few doors away.

See ya there!

Cheers,
Rebecca, Mike and Cindy
