PubNight #593 (1/30/08) - Ginger Man

Because hope springs eternal.

There is an element of risk involved in choosing a pub known for early evening crowds (specifically: early evening crowds of midtown business assholes). But without risk there is no reward, and in this case the reward happens to be one of the best selections of beer and spirits in the entire god-damned city, plus a cheap food menu, plus the tantalizing possibility that I'll have some of my coworkers with me from our happy hour there immediately prior. (Yes, you've probably guessed that ulterior motives underlie most of the Triumvirate's venue choices. Kindly deal.) And the risk amounts to the possibility that we will have to go to an equally interesting backup down the block, so I'm thinking we're gonna be fine.

See you there!
