PubNight #604 (4/16/08) - Eight Mile Creek

Previous PubNights PubNight Home

G'day mates!

This week we make a return visit to Eight Mile Creek, an Australian restaraunt and bar in Nolita. We thoroughly enjoyed this spot the last two times we were there. I'm looking over the drink offering on the website, and the the only dilemma, erh, trilemma, I foresee is deciding what to drink --

Beer? I can't speak for the Guinness, but I had a well-poured Boddington's last time we were there. Or perhaps I should try one of the four Cooper's Ale varieties. Don't see that too often in NYC.

Wine? There are several reasonably priced and yummy red and white Australian vintages. Hmm, I've been in more of a wine mood than a beer mood lately....

Or perhaps a speciality cocktail --- Ooh the Cairn Cyclone is basically a Dark and Stormy... mmmmm ginger beer is my favorite mixer! I think this may win out over the beer and wine.

It's not all about the drinks though-- there's good food too-- a 'bistro menu' that is a more 'casual' (i.e. less pricey) version of the menu from the restaraunt upstairs.

Hope to see you there!

Cheers,
Rebecca, Cindy, Jaye, & TK
