Hi y'all,
I'm writing you from my parents' house in Mississippi tonight, where James and I are finishing up the second half of our vacation, the first half of which was spent eating eating and drinking our way through New Orleans with Dan, Cindy and Ricky. To continue the theme, this week Pubnight is going to the Bourbon Street Bar and Grille on W. 46th Street.
Bourbon Street is a newly-opened spot from the owners of House of Blues. It's a two-story space with outdoor patios and balconies. It hasn't been overtaken by the tourist masses yet, so that's one nice way this place doesn't completely recreate the full Bourbon Street experience!
There is a full menu featuring seafood and po-boys. Mike B. checked the place out for us earlier this week, and reported that they serve a great muffuletta. I'm disappointed their drinks list is missing all the signature New Orleans cocktails, but I'm happy to see they serve Abita beer.
See you there!
Cheers,
Rebecca & Cindy & Jocelyn (& Mike & Dan & TK)
