One year ago we set out to Bar 13 hoping we'd find a suitable reincarnation of our beloved 61 cafe. Well, that experiment failed. Since scientists don't give up after the first failed experiment, then why should we?
And, if the fine print of the PubNight guidebook doesn't say that part of our mission is to find some of the best damn bars in the city, then we're no better than a flock of city pigeons just pecking around for the next pile of stale bread crumbs.
That preamble laid out before you, we're heading to a little place in the East Village called Cafe 81. I shit you not, it's called Cafe 81. I can't make any promises, but who knows we might just love it there. We might just love it enough that we make it next best thing.
AND, another reason that you have to come out... we must show the love for Michal on her birthday!
