PubNight #615 (7/2/08) - Roisin Dubh

Previous PubNights PubNight Home

Hi all,

We continue the streak of birthday PubNights this week by celebrating the birthday of Dan Boland.

Dan, who legendarily said, "I only regret that I have but one liver to give to PubNight," picked Nathan Hale's Bar & Grill from a big list of suggestions culled from reviews on Shecky's and CitySearch.

However, it turns out Shecky's and CitySearch suck at updating their listings. The super American patriotic Nathan Hale's has morphed into an Irish Pub called Roisin Dubh. (It's pronounced "roshin dove" and means "black rose" in Irish Gaelic.)

Nonetheless, good pub grub and inexpensive drinks cross international boundaries, and well, the Irish know as thing or two about rebelling against the Brits, so we are sticking we the same locale. Too bad it kinda ruins the whole Revolutionary War theme I was going for this week.

But nevermind, join us downtown at Roisin Dubh and toast happy birthday to Dan!

Cheers,
Rebecca, Cyn, Jaye and Dan B
