Good afternoon, Pub Night!
How're your dog days of summer going? Good? Mine's been going well, and I'm truly digging the lovely weather we've been having. I hope you're doing better than this couple, where a woman stabbed her boyfriend to death for drinking her beer. (No, really, not making this up: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-beer-fight-fatal-web-aug08,0,5628346.story) That's...a woman who really wanted her beer for herself.
This week we are heading to the West Village, to Automatic Slim's, where we've apparently never been before. (Woo! New and exciting adventures.) Do not head down to the joint in Florida, as we will not be there.
Happy hour runs from 5:30 to 8, and includes $3 beers, $4 well, $5 shelf drinks (top shelf is more, priced accordingly), so gentlemen, you have no excuse for not getting your own damned beer. And ladies, before stabbing your man for stealing your beer, at least try to train him by slapping him on the nose with a newspaper.
