Hello, Fellow Pub Nighters!
I wanted to make some sort of political theme for this week's email, seeing as how the debates were just on. But neither of the candidates are southern, and neither of them really brought up the south in any context. Rather inconsiderate of them, don't you think? Didn't they know we needed the snark to help us drink? I really don't think the candidates are concerned about the issues facing today's Drunken-Americans.
This week we are headed to a bar in the meatpacking district that promises to take you "out of N.Y.C. and into a real southern experience," complete with country music and cowboy hats. Is this actually what the south is like?
The Hog Pit is shuttering its doors in January, so we want to get in a trip before we have to actually go down to Texas for a taste of southern. Texas is scary. It has palm trees.
