Now, what value does this hold for PubNight? Why is this something to point out in a venue that encourages our membership to drink. Well, frankly, because it can't hurt for us to elevate our penchant for debate at PubNight. We have some smarty pants who grace our hallowed drinking holes. Bring it.
I think Obama's statement is not hyberbole. But, that's my opinion. There are many who say that the system has failed our kids for years. The state and federal budgets undercut education at every pass. Every day our teachers are losing their shit-- they're underpaid, their elective programs are not funded and schools are crumbling around them.
Well, speak up, speak out. Education, health care (my personal sticky point), renewable energy and the financial challenges ahead-- we have lots to talk about. Discuss, we must. We are the future for our children.
