Oh, dear Pubnight, it's that time of the week when we ponder the certainties in life, namely: drinking on Wednesday, and taxes. After this week, I flat out refuse to acknowledge death on that list. And, actually, the taxes aren't too grand either. Okay, so, just drinking on Wednesdays.
This week we are celebrating pubnighter Deborah's birthday. Deborah, who chose a far far too rainy time of the year to be born, has opted to go to StoutNYC this year. Stout has a fine array of draught beers, cask ales, and as the name may imply, a variety of imported stouts. I shall attempt to not drink all of them in one go, but I make no such promises for Deborah. I would also like someone to order the Hitachino Stout, which I want to try, but am a touch too wary to order myself. Japanese stout sure doesn't parse correctly.
And those of you who have procrastinated on your taxes until the last minute, all 80% of you, I'd guess, the bar is right by the 33rd Street Post Office, so come on over after filing. We'll still be there. You'll need a drink, or several.
