Hi all,
This week we celebrate the birthday of my sister Rachel, who was born on April 30th. I can't fully express how happy I am, after all these years living in NYC to finally have some family in area-- and even better family that gets along so well with my adopted Pubnight family. So please come out, raise a glass, and help me make sure Rachel has a fun, memorable birthday Pubnight!
To celebrate, we are hitting The Pony Bar, a brand spanking new craft- beer spot in Hell's Kitchen. It opened a little more than a week ago, and triumvir emeritus Mike B was immediately on the scene to test it out for Pubnight-- and it passed his tests with flying colors.
You get your pick of 20 all-American draft beers and 2 cask ales. All beers are $5, most in 14 oz glasses, with specialty & high ABV beers in 8 oz glasses. And if you find a brew you especially like, you can take it home with you in a 64 oz. growler! They also have a full bar and wines.
One warning-- while there is a menu posted on their website, their kitchen isn't open yet. But their are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the bar is cool with patrons bringing in takeout.
