PubNight #676 (9/9/09) - Half-Pint

Previous PubNights PubNight Home

So it has recently come to my attention that there is a large geographic area near New York City that doesn't necessarily suck, called Brooklyn. I have moved to this well-kept Secret (Carroll) Garden with my wife, and I tell you, it's Disneyworld. I live in a Castle (well, a church, but it's got big towers.) The buildings are all tiny, there's ice cream and pizza on every corner, and it's overrun with babies in strollers. Given all the actors in wiseguy outfits and accents, it must be ItaliDisney.

So, in honor of my move to Brooklyn, we're pubnighting in the West Village this week. We're trying a new bar called "Half-Pint." I assume you're supposed to walk in and make fun of the nerdy skinny short kid who's trying out for the football team.

We've got a reserved area under the name "Pubnight" or "Vineel" or "Rosencrantz" -- ok, maybe not the last one. Come, be merry, and check out the newly renovated and restored Washington Square Park when you walk over.

Possible guest pubnighters: George & Kim, Olo & Marina, the na and only Na, and Patrick.

$24 for the whole island, we don't need it anymore!
