PubNight #679 (9/30/09) - Klimat

Previous PubNights PubNight Home

Ah...autumn. I don't know about the rest of you, but fall is my favorite time of the year. The heat of the summer has dissipated, and each day seems to bring some new season and flavor of weather. One day it's warm and sunny. The next it's a pleasant misting rain. Thursday it's...snowing... Hey, wait, is it supposed to be raining donuts in September?

Apparently, autumn also drives us to drink. It has that in common with spring and winter. This week for your drinking pleasure, we bring you Klimat, an eastern European bar in the East Village that bills itself as part beer garden, part wine bar, and part bistro. ("Klimat" is, apparently, Slavic for "atmosphere". Never say the Pub Night email doesn't teach you anything.)

There will hopefully be no weather in the bar, but I've seen stranger things in my years in NYC. Come find out!
